Friday, we’ll be talking about feminism at the blog. If you’re interested in feminism, in discussing feminist issues, I encourage you to read and participate.

I picked this up on Facebook late yesterday afternoon. This is happening, right now, in the world. Here are the facts as I understand them. First, a map Nigeria, which is in east-central Africa.


The northeastern corner of the country is a big forest, and an Islamist extremist group known as the Boko Haram jihadist network has┬ábase camps there. “Boko Haram” means “Western education is forbidden,” assuming I Fucking Love Science has their story straight (and I trust them).
