The quality is not as good as my usual picks, but I’ve always thought of it as a quintessential autumn song. It seems appropriate for the turn of the year. I have several updates for you.
The Feminist Friday Project wraps up for 2014 at Part Time Monster this week. I’ll have a post about what we’ve accomplished, what the project means to me, and my plans for keeping it alive. It’s my most important project. I’m starting it back up in 2015 unless support evaporates or unless some catastrophe takes me out of the social media game entirely. That is a promise.
I’m ending it a week earlier than I previously announced because I have a window of opportunity to engineer a truly amazing run of blogging next spring and summer that will benefit both the Feminist Friday Project and two dozen or more of my friends. If I want to take that shot, I have to spend my time over the next few weeks putting a lot of things in place to make it happen. I’m sacrificing a week to put us in a position to take it to the next level when we start it back up. And I can’t believe I’m writing this. Thanks, everyone for your friendship, your trust, and your support. Here are a few other things you need to know.
- HUGE announcement coming. If you follow us on Twitter, you might have seen the leak last night. If not, be sure and stop by tomorrow. It delights me, and I think it will delight you as well.
- I’m on fall break, so I am making one last social media push this weekend. Nothing as big as my Social Saturday Pin-and-Tweet Fests. Details at Just Gene’O tomorrow, and those of you who are actively engaging with me on several networks do not want to miss out on it.
- You may have noticed that we did not post on Tuesday this week. It’s a rare occurrence, but you’ll see more odd days where we don’t post for the next little while. Mostly Mondays and Tuesdays, I am thinking. I’ll explain in my Blogging/Social Media post here on Sunday.
- Contributor posts will continue. Photoblogging will resume shortly. Everything else is on hold until I get the planning for Spring to the point that it’s all done except the writing.
I’m going to get the Feminist Friday post taken care of so I can be sure it’s done. I’ll be around on the social media for a bit after that, but it will probably be late.
