In my opinion, this show is one of the greatest live performances in the history of rock and roll. If I ever have a time machine of my very own, I’m attending both days of it right after I witness the Big Bang and have an epic conversation with Lorenzo di Medici.
One of the greatest bands of all time, especially live.

Agreed. I wish I could have seen them live. I was just a little too young.

Me too. Although I did see the Clash when I was 11!

Thanks Sourcerer for a reminder of one of the greats – I have this track on my playlist and usually end an exercise session with it!

Freddie Mercury was just phenomonal. I saw Queen in concert. So very glad I did!

You’re very fortunate, and I think so, too. He was one of the most charismatic people of the 20th century, I’d say.

I was only just born when this concert happened, and I didn’t discover Queen until Freddie Mercury had already died, but they are one of my favorite bands of all time. I would love to have been there 🙂

I was old enough to hear them on the radio when they released their most popular stuff, but too young for concerts.

Very time machine worthy!
What would you discuss with Medici?

Was hoping someone might ask that. We’d discuss balance-of-power politics, finance, and art, in that order. And I would talk him into letting me tour his villas.

Nice! Then you can invite him to travel with you to the concert. It can be like a “Bill and Ted…” adventure. 🙂

Now that is quite a fantastic idea. That sounds like a short story!!

One of my favorites as well. 🙂 I Love how they performed Under Pressure at that show. Freddie was something special.

Yeah, I like that one, too. I used it in a post early on. And the shirtless Bohemian Rhapsody, which I’m saving for a rainy day.
The number of likes and comments on this thread surprised me. Wasn’t expecting it at all.
