It’s actually pink. The center is such a pale pink, it’s almost white. The tinge of orange, and the gold at the center, are products of that late-afternoon-to-early evening light I’ve been going on about.
I live about a mile from one of the best outdoor public rose gardens in three states, and the day I took this first round of photos, only a dozen or so were blooming. You’ll be seeing a lot of roses here as the year wears on. Roses are photogenic, and they’re as unique as snowflakes.
