This song has been in my head all day. No idea why. Something to do with the strange synergy of punk vocals and bagpipes, I suppose. Oh, and the lyrics. I find the lyrics powerful. Here’s the chorus:
We’re the first ones to starve
We’re the first ones to die
We’re the first ones in line for that pie in the sky
And we’re always the last when the cream is shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat’s about.
I almost used it for weekend music, but decided to go with something a little more mellow.
A few minutes ago I took a break from scheduling posts and visiting new A to Z blogs to add a comment to a conversation I’m having about music at DBCII, and as I was doing that, I thought hey, why not go ahead and do one more music post? So I did.
The A to Z Challenge has been good for me. I’ve had lots of interesting conversations, and written more than one good post that I would never have written without it.
A to Z is kicking me in the posterior, but I think I needed it! Plus I love the new places I am finding online and the interactions.
Great song 😀

Yes, me too. It’s putting the social media hurt on me, but I have met some awesome bloggers.
Glad you like the song – it’s my favorite of theirs.
